I have some lovely mini bobbins from Woodland Turnery who are currently making me some small (4.5") aubusson bobbins from a picture I sent them because I couldn't source any in the UK.Angie Willishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02119123733934337373noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4169763410734421146.post-60336223729115210442014-11-19T15:12:18.913-08:002014-11-19T15:12:18.913-08:00Yes, it is the 18/2. I wind my bundles on small bobbins; linen is just too bouncy in a butterfly and has to be tamed! I get my small bobbins from a turner on the Isle of Wight. Beautiful woods which are a joy to use :-)LouLou@theLoomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08691202161688742373noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4169763410734421146.post-69142658967525266812014-11-19T10:16:20.983-08:002014-11-19T10:16:20.983-08:00Thanks Louise. I have some linen which I haven't used much yet as I found it difficult to weave with and it's quite thick but I'm keen to give it another go.Angie Willishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02119123733934337373noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4169763410734421146.post-86867908735850565602014-11-19T09:50:08.377-08:002014-11-19T09:50:08.377-08:00I use a mixture of fine wool, linen and coton a br...I use a mixture of fine wool, linen and coton a broder. Most of the wool I dye myself, but some is from Weavers Bazaar. I usually have about five strands in a weft bundle, so graduations are easily done by changing one thread at a time.LouLou@theLoomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08691202161688742373noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4169763410734421146.post-77606685045487035342014-11-19T04:28:11.140-08:002014-11-19T04:28:11.140-08:00What wool did you use for that tapestry?
