Weaving again, and despite visitors, did quite a bit. What a relief to have yarn and be able to get on!
I heard on Saturday that Curvaceous has not been accepted for ATB9, which is a bit of a disappointment, but does mean that I have a large piece to show in a gallery later in the year, so not all bad.
I have an interview on Wednesday for a part-time job at the Cathedral, which would be a great complement to studio time. Spare a thought for me at 12noon GMT.

Sorry to hear about Curvaceous. My work was also not accepted--but, as you say--it's now available to go elsewhere!
ReplyDeleteInteresting side note... the last piece I submitted to ATB8 that was rejected was accepted into another juried exhibit--an all media craft show--and won a first place award! The juror was quite a nationally known figure, as well... just a reaffirmation that all jurying is subjective.
Your piece was stunning and will receive its proper due in the proper time.
Thanks for your encouragement, and sorry that you were unaccepted(?) too. Erica had her charcoal face piece accepted which is great news.
